Just thought I'd post my recently completed model, a Pitts special conversion from a Herr kit. Haven't flown it yet, still waiting for a new transmitter. The model includes:

4 Channel Hi-tec Feather receiver
3 Hi-tec HS-50 servos
Mosquito Gold flight set from MTM
Covered in Litespan

Total weight: just shy of 10 oz
Wing area: ~170 inches
Fingers: crossed http://www.rcmicroflight.com/ubb/wink.gif

Thanks Mike, Chris,

I'll be sure to post the results of the first flights. Hopefully they won't include a crash and burn photo! http://www.rcmicroflight.com/ubb/wink.gif

I'm confident I could shave off at least 2 ounces if I were to build a new one - thinner wing ribs, lighter wheel pants and nose block, pull-pull cables, etc.

Chris,

This is one beautiful airplane! I am interested in the MTM motors myself; how did you aquire yours? Test flight yet? How did it go?

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the compliment on the plane. I ordered the motor directly from MTM. The cost was a bit steep, but the quality seems top-notch. I'm still waiting on the new transmitter, hopefully I'll pick one up this week. I'll be sure to report on the first flights... regardless of how they turn out! http://www.rcmicroflight.com/ubb/smile.gif
