:) After Many Self Attempting Mods I Finally Went With The X427 Aluminum Prop , The Miss Bud Pipe, A Rc10 Gt Carb, Trinity Monster H.p Fuel 25 Percent, And A Kyosho Kickback Rudder Assembly. My Hammer And I Are Happy ! Speed Is Good , But To The Point Of Loosing Control When Its Wide Open. Now Thats When It Gets Fun! Now I Can Run Down My Buddies Miss Bud And Get Around Him, Now With Some Spray In His Face! Oh Yea How About The New Pro Boat With The .32 Dynamite Is This Going To Be A Good Boat? Or Should We Wait For Some Results Or A Future Test On This New Vee? Any Way Thanks For All The Threads On Mods For The Nitro Hammer They Have Been Very Helpful! :) Ohio Bh

I think that the Pro-Boat stuff is junk. Stick with better brands.

I can say something about it on this site until Rick bans me! :D I keep hoping that every time ProBoat brings out a new boat that they might have gotten their act together. They are slowly getting there but I have seen some room for improvement.
Early reports are saying that there is a problem with flex cables breaking, from either misalignment, not being lubed or the drive dog being too close to the strut. You need a good 1/8-1/4" of clearance between the drive dog and strut to allow for cable wind-up.
I'd modify the turn fins also, remove the left one if you only do mostly right turns like me, make them 90 degress the the "V" instead of parallel to the sides. This may have been done to make it fit into the box easier. I'd streamline them also with a curve coming from the bottom of the hull to the bottom of the fins. From the pix that I've seen, it looks as thought the header is choking the exhaust and would try to port match it as much as possible for better exhaust flow.

What Kyosho Kickback Rudder Assembly did you use? What boat uses it?

I Used A Kyosho Air Streak 500 Rudder Assembly. You Will Have To Modify The Way It Mounts To Your Stock Hammer Metal, L ,bracket The Stock Linkage Works Just Fine, It Seems To Turn Sharper Also!i Have Been Using This Setup For Over A 1 Year Now, I Got Tired Of Breaking The Stock Rudders, And The Sloppy Linkage. :) Ohio Bh
