You dont actually need a center diff, you can use a slipper clutch. If your using a center diff youll hvae to get the rear brake conversion.

The Jt conversion is quite pricy if you do it with all the goodies; if my memory serves me well a center diff doesnt come cheap. Look for the parts on ebay, such as fuel tank, dog bones etc. I went the way of an Ofna Dominator hybrid. Just had it delivered a couple of days ago, but as of yet havent had a chance to run it. Because it is cheaper it allows for other nicer things to be bought, for example a decent engine / nice wheels and tires. Read the original thread, it should give you a good idea if what to do.

FYI.. JT has stopped making them. so if you are lucky enough to find one buy it right away. if you do get your hands on one yes.. it bolts striaght to stock or stock replacement Maxx suspension and steering. you basically remove the maxx chassis along with the braces, trany, engine and all and put the JT hybrid chassis on. Its a Big Block (.21) only chassis so your small block engine clutch and such will no longer be used.
if you do get your hands on the basic chassis you would need..
·OFN18197 Aluminum CNC Center Diff w/Clutchbell (or the standard slipper tranny)
·OFN18161 Tranny Mounting Spacers
·OFN18012 Tranny Mounting Center Posts
·OFN18011 Tranny Mounting Blocks x2
·OFN40047 Receiver/Battery Box
·OFN18047 Stone Pick-up Fuel Tank
·OFN18013 Steel Vented Brake Disks
·OFN18014 Brake Plates/Pads
·OFN18049 Servo Mounts
·OFN10266 Clutch/Flywheel Kit
·OFN18065 Steel Center Dog Bones
·OFN30480 Adjustable Machined Heatsink Motor Mounts
·KYOIF132 Brake Cams

Renegaderc.com still has listed the complete conversions with everything included but JT no loner makes the chassis but info and pics are still there so check their site for more details.

Thanks but i guess it wont work cuz i would use the Sirio .18 witch is a small block. But does anybody know what company makes the chassis that you can use with the starter box for a maxx? It was in a r/c car magzine, i think called best smallblock maxx ever. If anybody knows let me know.

I probly would have got that chassis but i didnt know the website until after i orderd the Integy chassis. I was comparing the pictures and the Integy chassis has cut outs by the motor mount just lik the phaze 5. Could the starterbox work with the Integy chassis? It looks like the phaze 5 is a little bit more recessed. if anybody knows let me know.

That Phaze5 is nice looking stuff. Hmmm.........
A little of this & that could make for a sweet custom Maxx.

It sure looks close gtroller. Integy has been known to copy designs imo.
Give 'em a e and ask is all I can say.
Prohobby sure is asking a lot for their starter box.
