Any center diff from an 1/8 buggy will work since you'll be making a chassis, it all depends on how much you want to spend. I made a hybrid chassis last year and used an Ofna center diff which worked fine.
If you go with a standard 1/8 center diff, you will have to change your maxx diffs to aftermarket ones that use 1/8 diffs as well ( stock maxx gear ratio and 1/8 center diff make for no low end and insane top speeds, and melted clutch shoes)
Or if you use a center diff from a MT ( for example Ofna Pirate, GS SUT, or similar) you will be able to use the stock diffs.
If you need any parts let me know. My truck has been sitting on the shelf since last year.

How about the local hobby shop? They may have what you need and if it's been sitting around for a while, you may get it for a bargain price. Or, when all else fails, you could check on that famous auction website for the parts you need.
