How come no one is sharing info on the 3D foamies like the Shock Flyers? How about some pics and lists of what equipment is used and building tips? ;)

How do you like the Nippy? More power than the AXI 2208?

I have the AXI 2208-34, I use the carbon fiber mount designed for that motor from www.mjpcarbon.com , for a prop APC 10X4.7 slowflyer, I run from 700 miliamp up to 1320 3cell lipos. I used a lot of .5mm X 3mm flat stock carbon fiber to beef up the strength of the foam. ALSO.....I use a pull-pull system with thick thread to save weight. Last but not least....my first Shock flyer died...so I took it aprat and made a template and I make my own now. Check out the photos...

Hello I am flying my third shockflyer and my best but I am beating the crud out of it! Why, because it is a 6 oz. indoor one and I am flying it in a cabinet making shop. So Its a little INSANE! I love it though and it is totally hilarious. My Superstar Shockflyer builds as follows:

Superstar airframe
3 x 6 gram servos by Tower pro (can be lightened and only $13.50 ea.)
stupid 4 ch gws reciever (oh well its indoors right)
kokam 3 cell SHD 340 mah
and __drum roll please__ an axi 2204 54 (I love this jewel, hovers at half with awesome vertical performance)
Phoenix 10 controller
custom molded abs plastic motor mount with carbon reinforcements

Thanks for postin have fun :0)

the hydrofoam plane is much better than any shock flyer. it goes on water or land road surface it is a plane and a boat all in 1. or you can steer it on the ground like a car. take a look at this video of it in action and the video starts to get good about 2 mins into the video.  :) so watch the whole video http://media.putfile.com/HydroFoam ps there is a website that will be selling these hydrofoam planes this website is still under construction and will be posted on the internet in a few weeks its www.hydrofoam-plane.co.uk

Here is my latest " shocky" :)

Mini slofly 28" epp
E-flight 370 outrunner
3 blue arrow micro servos
Berg micro stamp 4 reciever
E-flight speed control
JR xp8103 transmitter

This setup gives me about 12 minutes of 3d flying and the airplane is VERY durable! I would reccomend this plane as a great 3d trainer! Sorry I cant post any pics, as I dont have a camera :( ----Evo
