Hi! I have just a question for you... i want to buy the maximizer beadlock rims for my e-maxx but i read that these rims require the so called "rage rings" to fit tires like pro-line tires or imex soft compound tires. Is this thing true or will they fit every tires without any adapter? Thanx!

I don't know about the Imex tires, but you do need the rage rings when using Pro-line tires because of the thinner beads on them. I run them on my Tmaxx with the stockers right now and they rock!! No more glue for me!!

I love my solid black beadlocks! Very cool. My next choice are the solid blue ones, or maybe the white race ones that I could dye a different color. JMO. :) If you go to the 'search' button at the top of the forum, and type in 'impact performance products' in the search field and scroll down a bit, you will see a pic of my Tmaxx with the Maximizer wheels on it. Later!

Hey! Your truck is great! Congratulations for your paint job!Why you were't so happy for it???It's really cool! About the rims i definitely go with the "solid" type, like the way they fit! But not so sure about the colour...black give me the idea of a very "bad a$$ truck" :D but even the blue rims are cool...Well maybe just to change i'll take them in blue...hummm...I'll let you know anyway! Thank you! Ciao!!

According to maxximizer you need the rage rings for any tire other than the stock E or T-maxx tires. I have a set of them and they are VERY heavy and VERY over rated. Watch you dont "over tighten" them (the perimiter hex bolts) they strip out like no tomorrow with very little torque. I couldnt ever recomend them with a clear concious.

I love mine. I have pulled them apart several times with no strippage. As far as weight is concerned, yes, they are heavier, but these wheels are tough, and not over-rated. JMO.
Skullsplitter, I was not happy with the paint job because I was going to paint it in an American flag colors: red, white, and blue. I went to outline the stars on the front in a pinstripe, and totally f'd it up, so I just started mashing the paint brush around the stars and following the stripes I laid out. Since the body was "scrapped" at that point, I just threw on some white and blue on the stripes and called it a day. Although the end result turned out to my liking, after all.

Yes, they are tough. I dont think the hexes will ever strip in these things. I was especially disappointed by Maxximizers response to my phone call about the rage rings, why dont they include them right off the bat? Lets face it, with all the tire options not many people use the stock Tmaxx tires. Its a built in "gotcha" to milk a little more money out of you.

Yeah, I don't understand the whole thing about paying extra for the rage rings, which is kinda stupid. They should be included in the bag with the standard ones, and just charge a little more. Or maybe included a certificate in the bag for a set of them free or a reduced price with the purchase of the wheels. Maximizer is pretty blatant about making someone spend more money to run different tires with their product. At least they are not too expensive. We have some sets of them for around $16.99, I believe. I'll check today when I get to work.

Well thank for your opinions, i bought them from ebay just this morning i'lltake them in blue "solid" type and i'll pay 39,99 US$ for 4 rims...not as cheap as you( Matt) say but neither expensive, i think...By the way i agree with both of you about the fact that it's stupid to sell the rage rings apart from the rims and in fact i must buy even them...but before i have to choose the new tires!! In any case i'll make you know my opinion when i'll receive and mount the beadlocks. A question...since you said that these rims are heavier have i to change something about my gear ratio???About tires i'm looking for imex jhawg or k-rock...what do you think?Ciao!;)

No change in gear ratio is needed, the rims weigh about twice as much as the original Savage wheel and foams together. Extra weight = A little slower. My truck still rips some sick wheeies with them. The best tire I have found to date are the stock Savage tires, they hook up like they are made of glue. Im running IMEX Swamp Dawgs now and they cant hold a candle to the stock Savage tires, the Dawgs just spin where the stockers would hook up and rip sick wheelies.

Skullsplitter, the $16.99 price was for the rage rings, not the wheels themselves. Sorry if I confused the issue. I paid around $60 for my wheels from AJS Manufacturing, so $39 isn't bad at all.

Thanks, actually i don't care so much if the e-maxx goes slower, the important for me is to have fun with it and for having fun i mean just doing a simple change to the truck, change the look and of course, if possible, even to improve its performances... and thank even for the suggestion about tires...so savage stock tires seem to be very good...well, i'll take it in mind but, maybe it's stupid, i'm looking for some tires that are even cool to see or not so common...Anyway,thank you!

For Matt, there's no problem about "price question" and of course you have to consider that to the 39.99US$ i have to spend other 10US$
for the shipment to my country (Italy)... oh,and always from ebay i found the rage rings at 12.95$ plus 8$ for shipment for a total of 20.95$! More expensive than yours ! But what can i do? In italy they don't exist and if exist they would be veeery expensive :( ! So thanks ebay!

I didn't realize you lived in Italy. That would tend to skew pricing to the higher end of the spectrum. Hope you like them!
