I can only hope the plane I'm working on (a Hawker Fury) ends up as nice as your Hawk. Actually, I know it won't, but I hope it's not too far off.
Question: How did you do all the graphics. I've seen blank decal sheets that you can run through an inkjet printer. From my experience, however, inkjet ink is far from waterproof, which would seem to present a problem when you go to apply the decals.

The graphics on the Hawk were made in ink jet decal paper from Vitochrome or Vitacal available from Walthers (the train people try their website at www.Walthers.com) (http://www.Walthers.com)) The paper comes in white and clear in 81/2x11 and you print the graphic then spray it with a varnish they provide to make them water proof. They work like a charm. I use Freehand 7 (got it on sale) for graphics--it is a vector drawing program that lets you scale up or down without loosing resolution. The Paint program on most computers would also work.
Keep working on the Fury--another great biplane. Made a Pnut rubber guy of it once.

If you make decals, they come out glossy. You can tone them down with Micsol's semigloss or flat or use a flat or semigloss acrylic like those from Model Master or Poly S available at most hobby shops that have trains or from Walthers.

Thanks Pat, I'll have to pick up some blank sheets. Not cheap though, I'll just have to make sure the Fury flies ok before adding the decals ;)
I have Freehand, Photoshop and all the other goodies, one of the perks of making a living as an illustrator... That's what I'm designing the Fury in (Freehand) so if the current 18 inch wingspan is too small, I can easily scale it up a bit. I'll be sure to post a photo or two once there's something to see.
Thanks again.
