Does anyone have a Venom Mini Giant? I am thinking about getting one to play around with in my office. Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about this truck?

Thanks!!!

The VMG's are very fun! I have two(ones my kids, I swear).
Get the hex battery pack, gear down and don't forget the bearing set. The bushings will melt down quick. Oh, and a wheelie bar.
When you decide to go fast, put the fireball motor in, get some oil shocks & they jump speed bumps great!
It not the racer the Mini-T is , but it crawls awesome. ;)
Gearing down is the ticket...
We run 'em with my other kids brushless Stampede-kind of a David & Goliath thing lol.

hehehehe...

www.trilordy.com

their latest vids are mini giant intensive. . . extremely cool little r/cs and durable as... well... an ACNCM maxx. . . theyve got a brushless in theirs and WOAH does it go.. my lifes mission is to either make a mini giant raceable or give up and stuck a brushless in that new AE 1/18 truck... hehehe

I dont know if anyone here has seen the mini-quake from duretrax. It actually looks nice and is more of a basher than a racer. I would suggest you check it out.

... traiter. . . the mini giant will never be beaten by a duratrax mini truck. . . especially not if tis the trilordy one wiht a brushless in it...

I think the duratrax truck will fit a larger motor. It may be able to smoke that mini giant. BTW this is the 1st time I have ever seen a duratrax vehicle that I liked. Did you see it? Check out their website.

no... i never even knew about it. . . im jus jumping to conclusions and clinging more to brand loyalty than overall quality or person experience like i usually do... i can afford either one anyway

this is nto to say that tamiya makes a bad truck (and in fact i do beleive i happen to be brand loyal to an extremely quality company... and the mini giant is also a very good vehicle and durable as hell, but i have never driven one... so i cant say...

You could also get a Micro RS4...RTR version(or kit, your choice), Orion Big Block motor, and a 6 cell Team Orion 1200 pack will get it up to at least 28-30 mph, fun seeing that little car go so fast. Only flaw is it isnt an MT, lol

I wouldn't say its the only flaw....

The Mini-Giant also has straight axles & a three link, like real crawlers do.
So some realism. And when you put in the bearing set you can see how cool the diffs are. And... It just crawls like the real thing-mimicks SCALE.
Sweet design.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/Maxxamillion/Im000251.jpg

... and if you put a brushless in one, you get instant and endless wheelies. . .

i love my VMG.so far ive got $350 candian into mine.i got 3 hex packs, bearing set, fireball, wheelie bar,GMC sierra body, and i locked my rear diff.its great.oh ya,i got steel wheel nuts and a 12 tooth steel pinion.i think ill get a 8 tooth steel pinion with a more powerful motor for crawling.then i want to trade off my rustler for another one and put the fireball and wheelie bar on that with a 16 tooth pinion and just make that thing rip.

I love you man!!! I bought a VMG w/ a BS and a HP. My father-in-law went out and bought one the next day he liked it so much. It's allot of fun and easy to modify!!!
