Here are some pictures of my TR-389 powered, .5 oz ripstop nylon covered IFO. I hand stiched the covering on while watching a movie one night. It's actually pretty tight despite the wrinkels in the picture. It flies very very well and is only slightly heavier than it was with the clear stock covering. The advantage to the nylon is that it is nearly indestructable, I can toss the IFO around and never worry about putting a hole in the covering. I HIGHLY recommend this method if you plan to build an IFO or MINI IFO. (I have a micro IFO in the works that uses this same covering). Enjoy!

Nice job! That makes me want to also stitch the covering on my Franken-IFO, especially since I have already reattached it twice in some areas after some really nasty power dives.

I noticed that you also attached the covering to the "fuse" rod and center brace. Is that how the IFO (and mini-IFO) is supposed to be covered?

The covering on my Franken-IFO is attached only on the leading and trailing edges, and not on the "fuse" rod. I wonder if that is the reason for the unexplained power dives that my flyer sometimes decides to go into.
