Fellow Speedsters,

Looking to switch from electric to nitro and I currently run an HPI Sprint and was pretty sure I was going to go with an HPI nitro, then I ran across the Yoko GT-4 II. Anyone got any positive or negative input to this product? Does anyone know the difference between the GT-4 and the GT-4 II? All I could figure was the body was painted but there must be more. The .18 puts out 1.25bhp and about 33000rpm (I think) vs the .15 1.5bhp @ 35000rpm max HPI. The gear setup from Yoko claims to get the car up to 60mph out of the box with a lot of what I always had to consider "optional/upgrade" parts already installed. I see there's no thread on this ride so can anyone share some info? Thanks in advance.............

i had the yoko gt 4-II and got rid of it,the carb has only 1 needle setting so it will be very difficult to tune, you will have problems with the recoil rope not winding back in.
also on the negative side it has 3 belts which i prefer shaft drive.
did my yoko do 60 mph? nope..
i recommend you looking into the ofna ld3 or cd3.

little of both..
personally i just didnt like a lot of things about it,the belt would sit against the header pipe, the engine is tricky to tune and even when it was tuned correctly i wasnt impressed, the recoil and oneway bearings go bad and parts are hell to find, also a slippery handling car even when set properly.
my stable included,yoko gt4-2,ofna ld3 rtr,ofna cd3 rtr, ntc3,a few rs4 evo's,rs4 ss,ofna gtp,hpi savage,megatech razor.
i find my ld3 to be the most trouble free and reliable and i have not had to replace anything yet,my ofna ultra gtp is the most fun to drive.
