Well this forum needs to be woken up a bit so here we are.

I have built my first Jet, It's an F/A-18 Hornet in the Blue Angels color scheme.
We-Mo-Tec 480 Ducted fan
I am using a Mega 16/15-2T
Castle Creations Phoenix 60 ESC
2 HS81mg servos for the tailerons
10cell 1950FAUP sanyos under the hood

building was great, waiting for the batteries to come anyday now.
Should get about a 3 to 4 min flight and a top speed of just over 100mph
125 for the kit and 275+- for the gear add batteries.

Not cheap but I'll tell ya after I fly it how the rush is!

Jonathan

Awesome. I'm kinda new into the plane things, but watched a few guys fly them around. Cool beans :). I have a few places I could fly a plane at college and elsewhere, but need to save for insurance for my real car. Then I can bring the RC cars and planes to the campus.

This forum doesn't send me notice when someone replies:(

3 min flight @ 95+ mph is good! I've got 2 sets of batteries too.

If you want longer you need to go Lipo with a 3s2p 2100 or better then you can get 2 5 min flights before recharge.

servos can be bought where ever you choose.
The Fan unit I bought when I bought the jet, He also sells the motors (if in stock)

the ESC and if you choose Lipo you can get at Esprit models I find them to have competitive prices. Also check out www.rctoys.com check there special combo deals.

I'll try to get some pics of the innards.
