OK i just scored an oval racer off some guy for 20$ and it works perfictaly just needs some attention, but im really curious to find out what kind of car it is my friend mick is going to bring his digital cam tomorrow so ill have a pic soon but its basicaly,
Greenish chassis a thin plexi type material
serco is just double sided taped on
the rear has a big axle
4 bolts holding on the rear rims
some aluminum rear end parts
and thats really about it
i think it may be a home made car with some parts that were just laying around but im not sure.

Sounds like a pan car of some sort. Pics when you get them will help a bunch.

You just described pretty much every direct drive pan car ever made. Pics will help determine make mostly by chassis shape and design, front end, and rear suspension.

It is a pan car (direct drive) the greenish color sounds like it was a Associated 10L fiberglass (white) chassis that was dyed green. A couple of new chassis companies are using colored graphite in red and blue colors. Those alone are in the $200 range just for the chassis plates.
My hunch is it's an Associated chassis, they made both a Fiberglass and graphite chassis while most of the other companies Cobra, TRC, Bolink, Parma, Phazer, Woods Racing, Superior Racing, Trinity made graphite (black) chassis.

I agree it sounds it is most likely an AE pan car of some sort.
On another note Cobra, TRC, and Bolink stock chassis were usually a black fiberglass but were sometimes available in graphite as well.

Describe the chassis layout, how many battery slots on the left and right side. Does it have a shock (what color is the shock body) attached to top plate of rear pod and what is front end like. What is the width of chasis.

The white fibreglass turns a greenish color after a few years. I have an old RC12L (the original) and it is now a green tint.
