how good are the 1/18th scale cars, i fancy an indoor car to play with.
whats cheap but good quality. i know that tower hobbies have a good deal on the msf but im in uk and after shipping it goes to like £50 is there anything else around that price thats worth looking at? are the cars fast?

You could get a Radio Shack Xmods, alot of people don't like them because they're radion shack cars. But honestly, with some of the upgrades mine goes about 21 mph. It's $50 here, so it ought to be about the same there. If you really get into it (like I'm about to) you can change FETs and get an overpowered motor. People have gotten them to go about 30-40 mph. Other than that it'll be more expiensive. Personally I like the M-18, but thats expensive, and you have to add electronics, radio, and motor for that one. I think the Xmods would be a good start though. Besides the car itself you can get better motors, an AWD kit, and a bunch of other little hop-ups directly from radio shack.

How about a Mini-Z?

i couldnt get the links to work properly, or they were out of stock. are they any good the mini z cars?
or should i try and get an xmod shipped to uk?
