...at $44.00 shipped? I am an EP Noob but I have heard GP 3300 batts are the best. I have a XXXT MF with a Trinity 14/2 juiced by a Superooster.
While I am posting...does anyone know a good body painter??
Thanks!

What site is this information from? It seems that these cells may actually be unmatched, even though it says 1.17v. Many places have claimed that gp matches them at the factory, when in fact, they don't. If this is just a normal gp3300 battery pack, i would look elsewhere as you can get prebuilt ones for under $35.

There are several good places for batts:
www.fusionbatteries.com
www.ballisticbatteries.com
heck, even www.towerhobbies.com has some good ones
I would be careful of EBAY batts

You can get a matched pack from www.promatchracing.com for around $40, these are way better. I definetly recommend pro match, I've had excellent service with them.

What I understand is that GP when they ship cases of cells some are random cells below 1.17 voltage while some may be in the 1.17 range but runtime could be low. Another mistatement in the ad that is incorrect: the cells/pack should be discharged as low as you can get it before recharging.
Check the care facts on some of the other battery matching sites (SMC Batteries, Pro Match etc).
Try a paint job yourself, keeping scheme simple for the first time. Most guys who paint bodies professional charge quite a bit depending on scheme. Try brushing you first body - thin paint enough to reduce brush marks or use the cans of spray paint. I use to paint bodies for local friends but don't have the time now to even paint some of my own bodies. Many times I end up drawing out a design or entending to paint a NASCAR body in a special scheme and due to lack of preparation just end up painting a simple design.
I use to charge 20 to 85 dollars depending on scheme and time involved plus whether I supplied body and paint. You could look at one day to a week.

1.17 @ 20 amps doesn't sound too good for me. I'd go to one of the reputable sites mentioned above.

I wouldnt buy batteries off Ebay unless they were USED highend packs sold by a reputable person and not worn out.
Goodluck with your search of nice batteries. There are plenty of matchers out there with MORE than fair prices. We in the R/C industry are spoiled by the GP line of batteries.
In the past you couldnt buy a 2000 pack of Nicads Matched for under $40.00.If you wanted HIGH quality 2000,2400's it was $79.99-99.99 a PACK everywhere.

Here is another source for matched GP 3300 batteries, SPC (http://www.specpointbatteries.com) batteries. Their cell numbers are honest and the prices are very competitive. If you have any questions contact them, their customer service is great!

also keep in mind that if are bashing, you don't need matched unless your racing, because the pack won't stay matched it wears off after several cycles.
