what do you think of the Futaba 3PM-TFS FM radio with S3305 servo?
tower hobbies stock number: LXHXP9**
i will be using it on my revo and eventually(christmas) a savage ss
servos:
S3305 for steering
S3010 for throttle/brake
S3003 for reverse
and
Futaba FS-1 Fail Safe Unit
and
Traxxas 1100 hump pack for savage (i have the charger already from revo)
Do you think this is a good set up? i don't want to spend a fortune on digital servos yet. what is the benefit of synthesized radios vs. (regular?) ?
id appreciate any comments or suggestions, thanks!

That's an excellent choice for a radio. The servo isn't very fast but definitely strong.

Seems like a very good setup to me. In regard to the synthesized vs. non-synthesized radios, the synthesized one does not need reciver and transmitter chips, you can switch the car/truck and radio to be on the same frequency. This is good at a track where you can just fiddle with something on the truck and Tx, and your on a different channel. This saves you money on buying every reciver and transmitter frequency chip and just the plain easiness of it. Non-synthesized need to have all the chips, and it can get annoying.

so i DONOT need a crystal for the reiever in this setup?
on tower, if you look up this setup there is a link for the reciever and ther reciever requires a crystal. i am confused about that.
could i run this with my revo if i get another reciever?

You need a crystal, that isn't the synthesized one.
