Found a track in scotts hill between wilmington and hampstead. It looks more like a work in progress but atleast its something. At this point its not worth much of a drive to look at but if your local i would check it out.

Where in Scotts Hill? You'd think with as many people as we have in the Wilmington area we'd have a track and decent hobby shop.

Its by freds beds if you know where that is. there is a slot car racing/acrade and its located behind that. Its pretty lame though but they just started on it a few months ago and said they hope to have it in good shape and racing on it when the weather turns good. At this point its all right angles and flat. no barriers just dug up dirt. He said there are several people that run on it and they run Revos or T-Maxx's that he has sold I think he said a revo was $550 so not much of a deal. No parts or anthing there. Where are you located? do you have any RC's? If you have AOL or AIM IM me JontheRCguy

I live on the wrong side of the Memorial Bridge :) I might just check that out, as a client calls me to Porters Neck a few times a week.

At the moment I'm fiddling with a T4 w/a Feigao 8s and Warrior 7018 ESC. Out of commission since I broke a front bulkhead in the cold today.

I stopped by that slot car track last week. They were closed and I didn't really snoop, but I didn't see any signs of a track. Where are they putting it?

We live in town over by Salt Works II. Erillian is actually my neighbor. We decided one saturday that we needed a new toy/hobby and thus the radio car craze was born.

How do you like the Stampede? I am thinking that I want to move up to higher level of electric trucks before I even think about going to Nitro and the Stampede is what I have been looking at. I do admit that I am having a blast with my $40 Nikko that I bought at Target though.

If anyone is looking for a place to race in SE NC, Southern R/C motorsports race 1/10 scale electric on an outdoor oval in Ocean Isle Beach. We have electric hook ups. We provide transponders also. We have two classes. I can be reached at toobusy@atmc.net or 1 910 755 5585 (work # ask for Jeff) We have been racing on friday nights but are pretty flexable if change is needed. we are a non profit club and ask for $20. a month during racing season to offset the electric bill and pay for year end trophies. Thanks and hope to see some new faces.

Most of the cars are associated 10l3 or 10l4. We use the "Spec battery" 1600ma from trinity, 27 turn rebuildable motors tires are open but most of us run BSR caps unless its cold then some guys put foams on the left side. There are no tires rules just they can't be larger diameter than the BSR cap tires because they mandate a 22 tooth pinion and a 108 ring in the "cup class" and a 18 tooth pinion and a 108 ring in the "busch class" (same motors) Come down and check it out.
