Help with Gear Ratio 1/12 and Novak SS5800

Can anyone provide some guidance and what size pinion gear to purchase for a CRC Carpet Knife (1/12 pan car) with a Novak ss5800 and a 4 cell battery pack? The CRC has a 98t spur gear and the info listed on the Novak site doesn't cover 1/12th cars. The ratio they mentioned for 1/10 is roughly 7 to 1 but that means I need a 15 tooth pinion which to me, seems too small.
Any help would be appreciated.

I ran around a 28 on my CRC six pack with the same spur and motor. You may want to start a little lower to be safe. Just check controller temps every couple of minutes till you get it right.

Thanks for the help. Now I at least have a starting point. I will buy a few pinions tonight (maybe from 20 to 28) and work from there.
