this should be a good setup for a e maxx, shouldn`t it,

The 3100XL is a great motor for the maxx, but the 18.61 will be pushed to the limit. It that's what you have, just make sure you gear it "nice" (nice to the controller=conservative) and put a fan on it.

Some have run this setup without a problem, but it's not ideal. The 18.97kw is better for the maxx.

I agree, the 3100XL will push that controller hard. My feigao 2400 pushes my u-force 75 pretty hard and that is a lower current draw motor with a high current controller.

Get a controller that can handle more amps. I used to have same Lehner. It blew in my touring car. I did not like it at all. Thermaled way to often.

I would look at a Warrior 90 amp version. Cheaper than the 18.61 but 90 amp insted of 61 amps.

no, i had it on a 14 tooth pinion , on 14 cells,, its considerably faster than the stock setup,, the esk never got hot,,, but i figured that i would rather nitro, so i`m gonna sell it
