I have made these a few years ago and there is a guy down south ,Louisiana, i believe who has several of which he has made. They were featured in RCBM in 1998, i bought the plans from rc-store and the rcbm mag. at that time!

Climate also has a new electric of the Miss supertest III. There is a large beautiful photo of it on their website. Has anyone ever built this boat??? Pictures are hard to come by and I want to see more of this boat in either model or real form. I ordered a set of plans from Newton, I pick them up tomorrow and I am trying to get any photos of it I can. I have about 3 including the real one at the museum in ontario but none of them are clear on every angle.

Yes, i built Gary Findley's round nose from a non lazer plans. Problem is hard to build the way i did from scratch. There isn't much room to work in or around interior. It got got to heavy, trash can it went!

mmmm...do i see yet another electric kit on my horizon?? can't really beat the price. seeing as how it's lazer cut you know it'll go together right. i've only built one kit from climate, but i learned one thing from it: lazer cutting is the only way!!! so...who'll be the first to try it on brushless w/8cells? i've also gotta say this, for those who have never done electric...a climate kit is a helluva way to get started. they build great boats and there's lots of support for these small FE's.

I have had 3 lazer cuts, 2 Mutineers and 1 El Lobo II. Electrafied; brushless and 8 cells , that would be too much , but wait and see. If you do get it, put 2 strakes on and make sure you run all the way to the transom. Make sure the trim tabs run between the strakes. Motor ; 19t Chameleon #2110 with 33,000 and a 534plastic and saddle packs cause one 6 pack is too long for width. Saddle packs with a L shaped pack , so 2 cells fit beside motor and one in front. One time for fun , i put a 10t in and couldn't control boat at all. There is one more motor at $20.00, the 14t quad called speed secret and is no slouch. If you run that , go 632!

i may look into a "full-race" kinda setup like an electrified or el lobo with brushless (6 cells to get started), or to save cash i'll look into a hot brushed setup once i start the new job. until then...i just hafta kick back and watch other people play. career changes always get in the way of the fun! hey DLM...what kind of esc's do you usually run? i've only got one electric right now and i'm sick and tired of trying esc's...just can't find a good one right now.

There is only one and that is RC-Hydros 6-14 cell without bec. Waterproof and watercooled. Wait a few months till dust settles and you will see more esc's. Andy Kunz retired but is back and wait till he gets his supplies stocked. The price may scare you but they are well worth it. Ok, on the Rumrunnerracing forum, keep checking that. You want 60 amp and that will run 12 cells but only brushed motors. Rumrunner has some and a decent price. Free shipping at Rumrunner. Finedesign boats is very expensive shipping cause he uses UPS and nothing against UPS- their fast and good.

Gary Findley; 22" for 05 motors. It got too heavy and went in trash can a year ago. Would build another, no! The way to go is lazer cut kits. I had to cut everything. I have arthuritis enough in left hand, so i have to go to bigger boats like UFO that are no challenge as far as work room goes. Guys and gals, a hint; Rumrunnerracing has a 25" deep vee coming out in which you can use a Grauper 8.4 sealed can and 12 cells and use a 440 and will be lazer cut and should be almost maintenence free, almost,! I' not promoting anything, just stating facts and speed i would guess at 33 or 35 mph.
