Unknown Kyosho vintage 4WD

Hey just woundering if anyone knows what kind of kyosho car this is all i know is its old and is shaft drivin 4WD

Looks like a hot shot.

Could be a Shadow-something or something-Shadow. There were a couple of cars with the same chassis.

The Hot Shot was a Tamiya.

Does it have funky hex halfshafts?

It looks to be the Shadow. 4wd. abs plastic tub chassis, motor slung under car's left side. very tuf car.
I used to have one when i first got into RC

i was wondering if you mite know what kyosho truck i have???
it is a 1/10 scale nitro 2 wheel drive,but the way the drive train is set up?it's throwing me off... it is set up like a 1/8 scale buggy drive train... with out the front diff/shaft..
the rear diiff is set up like a 1/8 with ring/pinion....the pinion gear has a belt pully on it
the shaft next to it has a pully on it...they are in line with the each other...the shaft then goes up to the front of the chassie about 5"'s...then it has a spear gear...
connected to it...the bell gear meshed with that....
could some one tell me what i have??? sorry no pictures of the truck.. the front bulk head says kyosho on it..thats it!! it is a 1/10 scale st truck... i'm sure of it!!

You are the lucky owner of the original Outlaw Rampage truck. The truck was very very late 80's into the early 90's. As I recall it was the first competative nitro stadium truck. That was the truck to have as I recall, but again, I was an electric guy. That truck was way before RC10GT's existence.

The truck essentially looked like the "Ultima" or the electric version. I wasn't able to find a pic of the original Rampage, but substitute Rampage for Ultima on the box and you are part way there. Slight difference to the colors, reversed and black instead of blue as I recall.

Next I did find an Ebay auction that popped up under Google that shows the drivetrain with what I beleive to be the original OS .10 engine. Note the center mounted engine that would engage the drivetrain to the side then transfer to the diff shaft via belt drive just as you describe. Complicated to say the least. :D.

I Have One Of Those...it's Totaly Apart Now. Was A Grat Truck Back In The Day..never Had Any Problems With It...just Stock Up On Belts They Wear Kinda Quick If You Run In The Dirt Alot....

man! thanks for the info!!! that is exactly what the chassie looks like..bad thing is the .10 glow engine,fueltank,body are missing,and the belt is broke... well going to keep my eye's open for parts for this one...

i've been looking for a belt for a long time for this ST with no luck..I think for 4-5 years..,but it hurt me .because i didn't know what truck i had..it was given to me 5 year's ago.. i think that how long i've had it...well going to do some research on this truck...thanks agian for the info...

No problem on the Engine, I bet you could get an OS .12 CV to bolt in. As for a body, a body for the RC10GT may work. Fuel tank and belt.... hmm Ebay? :confused:
