Any opinions or more information on these for racing in cars/trucks/buggies?

i asked rainer hacker himself several months ago, the weight reduction will only be a few gramms, but these Motors do NOT dissipate the heat that good than the normal alu ones will, the strenght will also be little influenced (theme: popping of endbells) so the use in cars could only be done in small 10Th sedans where the stress isnīt that big, but the weight savings arenīt that high (around 5 gr. per Motor in the B 40 class)
So overall i went with the B 50 L series again to make my next 8th conversion.

So weight of the motor is the only advantage to running these?
I thought they may have more power or something special in the power band?

not noticeable, the rpm will go up a around 10-20 Rpm under 8 V but that doesnīt matter either, the lack in the drivetrain will compensate that.
The Motor is not spinning up faster at all, theyīre only lighter, but as the strenght isnīt any good for cars then i will not use them, esp. with that bad heat transfer !
You could use them in a 10th as there isnīt that much mechanical stress and thermal stress on the Motors, but thats all !!

I don't see an advantage due to the heat transfer issue and even in 1/10th scale heat is the enemy. So scratch that idea!
