Hey, what's the deal with the lower prices? I see that the Nemesis/FeiGao 540 8s could be had for 65 bucks new!!! Basic motors are available for 119 new. (Shoot, I just paid an arm and leg for them). Is it price wars or is it simply higher supply and lower demand? I guess now's a good time to get one of those motors.
Heck, the warrior is 150, and a Feigao is only 65 - that's a grand total of only 215 bucks!! Gee, I wish it was that cheap last year.

I can't speak for others, but I have a cost for me and standard % markup. It's been tougher with Feigao because I have dealers under me that have to make money too. That's how you survive with the quantities you have to buy for wholesale pricing. The German companies give dealers a certain percentage off, so there isn't much to be made and prices can only go so low. Castle Creations keeps pricing in check with a MAP (minimum advertised price). I've pushed for Feigao to set up distribution and pricing, but so far no luck. They risk a poor reputation and going out of business I fear if some pricing control isn't established. Maybe I'll have better luck when I meet with them face to face. Basically, there has been some greedy vendors out there charging way more than they should (above retail) and companies like mine and rc-monster have come along and forced them to be more fair in pricing and provided customer service that was lacking.

Where have you found Basic series motors for $119?

I found the basic at rc-monster. I felt like getting a whole bunch more... but then reality set it and I realize I just don't need anymore BL motors for now. I hardly even have enough time to even test my cars!
