I'm looking at the RC18T from AE and I like the overall design and structure of it. The 4WD is awesome for my needs and the stock speed is VERY nice. The price is the best part, $155+ with everything you need!

Now, about the Mamba - What Mamba system would be best for the 18T? What about which cells I use? It's just like the larger brushless systems right? I don't have to use LiPos do I? After running my other BL systems on 12 cells (and being extremely happy with normal 2000 Nicds) I assume it will be just as awesome?

As for Mini T owners who have a Mamba system in their trucks, how do you like it? How many cells does your system handle? Anyone have a top speed yet? I would like to get this thing up to 35+ so it can handle my track better. Will the Mamba do this with ease?

Oh yeah, I saw the 18T in person at the LHS. It could easily back up and then throttle forward with a wheelie and the traction was GREAT! This was on a very dry track with a stock, out of the box setup. Neat little trucks...

Post up! :D

I would say go with either the 8000kv or 6800kv, this only from what I have read on another forum.
I heard that the 8000kv on 6cell gp1100 will perform like the 6800kv on 8cell gp1100.

Checkout this forum (http://www.one18th.com/forums/) for info

Awesome. A guy did a review on the 8000 motor and ESC. He said it did 50+ easily!!!

How is the throttle control on the esc that comes in the mamba package?
A brushless rc18T would be sweet :)

I get drivetrain clicks under heavy loads with the stock setup, I'm a lil wary of the brushless setup until I learn more...

Check your gear mesh ducati. That's usually the problem.

Simen - It's great. The vid of the mini t with the 8000 system showed the truck with the same type of slow speed as stock. It's very controllable and can handle small loads.
