well i just bought a t-maxx today from a friend of mine it had about 8 tanks ran thru it and i was there every time the truck was ran. so i got it home crunk it up drove it for a about 2 more tanks and it was runing fine. untill i was coming across the field and it died i figured it just cut off so i didnt wory about it becouse it was geting dark so i put it up and went in for a while. so i go back out there tonight and tryed to crank it and the ez start just clicked. So I tried a few diffrent batterys and it did the same thing with all of them so i took the glow plug out and it still did the same thing so i decided to take the moter off and try to turn it with the fly wheel well i got it to turn a little but it still wasnt free so i put the moter back on the truck and tryed to heat it up well that help a little but it still only truns over like 7 or 8 time then stop so i dont know what could be wrong do yall?

make sure the engine is not flooded. Take the glow plug out and turn the truck upside down. use the ez-start to spit the fuel out of the glow plug hole. Flip back over, put the glow plug back in and try to start. I have had the trx engine stick at tdc. Just turn the flywheel until there is less resistance.

  That has to be the longest run-on sentence I have ever seen! Some punctuation would be nice as it helps people read and understand what you are trying to say. OK from what I get from that is the engine won't turn over freely even with the glow plug out. If so then take the head off and pull the sleeve out. It should be nice and shiny with no scratches or brass spots showing. The piston should be smooth and aluminum color. If it's black it has been run way too hot. If both of those look ok then take the EZ start and backplate off and inspect the con rod. It should be straight and fit on the crank snugly with VERY little play. If that looks good then slip it off the crank and take it and the piston out the top and spin the crank by itself. It should spin smoothly and freely. Post back with the results.

sorry about the sentence I'm MADD! I really dont want to take the moter apart but that looks like what I will have to do. but if the moter is ok do you know what else could it be?

Really isn't too many things that will keep a engine from turning over. It really isn't hard to take apart just do it on a clean table and don't drop anything on the floor. With 10 tanks of fuel through it something has got to be wrong b/c most of the pinch should be gone. You also said it was coming across a field and then died. Was it at WOT for a long time? They can't handle WOT for too long just like a 1:1 car. I try to keep the WOT runs to under 8-10 sec on my stuff.

i only held it maybe 10 sec. i will take it apart tomorrow, i took the head off a second ago and it looked kinda brown I hope and prey that it will be all right.

With the head off it's easy to get the sleeve out. Just turn the crank and the piston should push it out a little. If it doesn't pop up put some plastic (a zip tie works good) in one of the ports and the piston will push on the tie which will push the sleeve up. Then get the tie out and pull the sleeve out. Like I said before the inside of the sleeve should be smooth and shiny chrome with no scratches. Good luck

Hmmm... You could adjust the throttle trim to open the carb some. I would also set the hsn back to factory and hold your finger over the exhaust and turn it over until for a few secs.

Does it spin over fine with the glowplug out when you use the ez start?
I am thinking maybe your starter motor may be gummed up inside. Try using some motor cleaner and blast it out a good bit and see what happens.
Mine gums up every once in a while and doesnt have the punch it should have.

Good luck

So the crankcase is filling up with fuel. Would it be that your high speed needle is broken? http://www.applepics.com/6/userfiles/41c3fc9bce7fc.gif Or your needle settings are way too rich. http://www.applepics.com/6/userfiles/41c3fc9bce7fc.gif

I dont know about glow plugs, I just run MC-59's I believe.

well i got it runing at 11:58 last night. Turns out the one way bearing in th ez-start was locked up so the ez-start would spin the moter over and try to crank it and the the bearing would lock up and kill the moter when it tried to fire. but i still dont know why the crank case was full of feul i'm going to go mess with it when it warms up outside and the reason i was asking about the plug is becouse tower has these (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGPL6&P=0) that are mede for the maxx?

For the plug the MC59 is a great replacement other options MC8,and OS- LC3 for the 2.5 engine Also if your still using the plug wire I would get rid of it and use a plug heater, RED

It shouldn't need any oil. Have you checked the slipper? If that is too loose you will have a hard time hearing it shift. Tighten it all the way and back off 1/2 turn and try it. Glad you got it running good.

If it's not shifting that is usually because it is a LITTLE too rich.
