Back after Chemo, Theraphy, any one out there have ideas for mods. to a 1/8 Bud to get it faster and stable. Want to try a lifting prop, and tilt the strut down 3/16 at rear. Thanks

Can't be too much help on the faster bud thing but I do want to say congratz completing chemo. My dad just went through that and I think you are a hero for going through it. Everyone told him to buy himself a treat after it was all over so he bought an Infiniti. I think you should get a new boat! :D Best wishes to you-

Congrats on the treatment completion! :)
Lifting prop may help you out. Worth a try........
I just heard from a fellow last weekend that was having problems & a lifting prop ended up being the fix. He said he picked up 6 mph & is much more stable & handles better.

How does a prop lift?

Well it actually transfers force/torgue to the bow/front of the boat. Which in turn pushes down on the bow, which then lifts the stern. This lifting of the stern lessons the amount of drag in the rear. (more speed) :D

Burny,... to add to what he said, these props are typically not good for mono's. Notice the wording.... 'typically'. To be honest, can't say as i've heard of one working on a mono. There I said it. :D

HI, Thanks for your kind words about chemo, it was a long 6 months, and did not feel like messing with the models. Weather here in sunny Ca. north,( ha ) 22 degrees in Napa valley, has to get better, rains now, will try things to get it running better. Still have my Stryker 41,but the bud is a chalange (never give up) Thanks for your thoughts. ED
