Here goes nothing. I am fairly new to the R.C. nitro world. I bought my first truck not to long ago traxxas rustler. I was given a USA-1 and an Inferno. The Inferno is in good shape i changed a carbon fiber brake and a main gear and am waiting on my starter box to get here to run it. Now to the reason for the post. I will attempt to resurect the USA-1. It is in fairly bad shape. It has peices Missing and I dont know what they are nor were they go. I will post the things i do as i do them with pictures for those interested. I hope some people can help me with the were things go part as the questions arise. I printed off a list of the parts from Kyosho. I am gonna try to find some documentation of what part goes were so I can do a check list anyone have any ideas of were I can get that documentation. I appreciate you guys help. Good hobby with good people.

A pyro-sized can of WD40 and a Dremel with a wire wheel would probably also help with the rust. :D

thats what i been doing all night. I got alot of it off the main out drives i think you call them. I have taken the front and rear halves off and soaked them in soapy water and scrubbed them with a tooth brush. omg at the nitro gooop. What is the part called that is bent at the front wheel i think it is the tire rods. They may be beyond hope but i will give it a go

The rust is gone most of the parts are ordered. New shocks new body . In line fuel filters, Regrained all all the aluminum. Cleaned all the rust. Repaineted the rims. Put on new tires. Alot of new screws that were rusted and replaced the Main gear and put the counter gear on. Waiting on the shocks to get here and the body. Gonna try my first paint job. I have an airbrush but lord knows i am not any good at it. Regreased the front and rear end added lock tight to everything. The only thing left is new bearings in the clutch bell Good luck at that part to me. Also new motor mounts . Having too much fun redoing this truck thanks Kazi for the help you have given me and others as well.
