Hi,

I am planning on getting an XTM electric x-cellerator. From what people say the stock speeds are sad. So, I plan to put a brushless set up in it and get it moving real fast.

I am currently thinking of going with ..

Hacker C40 7s
Schulze 18.61
Ballistic matched GP 3300 7 cell pack

This will be used for speed runs and lots of bashing and occasionally raced but just for fun.

I wanna know if the C40 7s sounds like a good motor for me or should i go for a differnt amout of turns or a different motor entirely.

Any input would be appreciated
thanks

that motor sounds a little hot for that controller. a c40-10s I think is a better match for that controller. Or you can go to a higher current controller, U-Force 75, 18.97, etc. just my 2-cents.

I had a 18.61 - hated it. Thermaled all the time and eventually blew. I would go for the UForce 75 instead.

Maybe a lehner 5300 and warrior 7018, you will have to run a reciver pack at 6 cells, but on 10 cells you should not need it. Personally I have herd of alot of 18.61's blowing up and I would not get that controler.

Dee,
I currently drive a stadium truck (duratrax evader st) with a Lehner Basic 5300 a micro1895 with 6 cells and masher 2000's on it. Personally I would not recommend the micro1895, it really needs an extra battery pack on 6cells. However, the Basic 5300 is a very good and cheap motor with lots of torque.
In general I think that running on 7 cells might be to much. The problem is, to transfer that much power "to the ground". In fact there's a lot of power loss because of slipping rear wheels (that's the main reason I'm gonna change to a brushless 4WD).
Also, under very high speeds, a 2WD truck is very difficult to handle, calculate on much damage ....

Im thinking i will just go for the Novak SS. It seems like it will perform well and have enough power. Plus because of the price it is looking very good.
