I am new to gas powered R/C boats and looking for a good fast starter RTR system. I currently have my eye on the http://www.americanrcboats.com/index.html Comet RTR system. I am looking for something that will run close to 40 MPH and in the price range of about $800. I prefer the Deep-V style boats. Do you guys have any recommendations or links to other boats in that range that will be a good investment?

Thanks

Hey guy. I would not hesitate to buy a boat from Zac at American RC. Matter of fact all the links posted are some of my favorites for doing business. Have not had a bad transaction as of yet.

Speaking of American RC, they just came out with the Dart. Sweet looking boat that I've been keeping my eye on.

The Super G... what do you want to know? Owned two (currently one) & love it. Fast, fun, very easy & for the $'s its hard to beat. Its in the classifieds if you want one used.

Aeromarine... can't say enough good about them & the same for Bonzi'.

For 800 bones, you can find a real sweet boat that will serve you for a long time.

I've got an RTR 48" Aeromarine Challenger powered by a modified 230 RC that runs about 50, if you are interested. SM hardware and stinger drive. Hitec servos, Cooper quiet pipe, 257 carb. It is in great shape. Never been wrecked. A little over an hour on the motor and electronics. Complete less transmitter and receiver $750 plus shipping.

Or I have a Rico deep V nearing completion with a modded Zen 260, Same hardware as above. Motor has never been started. Will finish for you. $1200. Should be a 60mph boat.

Both hulls are white. Add graphics and go.

Thanks for the advice.

Doubledog - how much for the Super-G? Do you have a link to the classified ad.

I will probably go with the Super G or the Super Sport. I like the extra features of the Sport.

Here (http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=180537) is DD's Super G. If you would rather get one new, then WH is one of the best in the buisiness. You won't be dissapointed with either boat. Good luck.

Thanks for the link Chris.

Here's some pictures. Keep in mind that it will come with the stock exhaust cannister. Not the Cooper hanging out the back & no radio or servos.

Got plans to go run it Sunday. Its been the best boat I've ever owned & makes me think twice about selling. If someone doesn't jump in the next few weeks, she might have to stay for a few more years.
