Joe - rollout is the amount of forward travel for each motor revolution. So if someone suggests you should set your car for .35 rollout, that means the tire diameter and gear ratio should be matched to provide .35 inches of travel/movement for each motor revolution. To calculate rollout, multiply the tire's diameter by Pi (3.141592) and then divide the result by the FINAL drive ratio. For example: If you tire measures 2.5 inches in diameter and the final drive ratio is 11.0:1, you would calculate rollout this way: 2.5 x 3.141592=7.85398. Divide the tire circumference (7.85398) by the final drive ratio (11.0:1 - or "11") and you have a rollout figure of .71 inches. That means your car will travel .71 inches for each revoltion of the motor.

A roll out of .35 inches? That's loooooow. Mine is ~1.35 about on my TA03.

.35 is just a random number to use as an example. The math is what's important.
