Me and my dad are thinkking about beginning in RC cars. He picked up a Team Associated RC10T to test out the other day. I want to know if it is a good beginner truck that can handle jumps well or if there is a better truck for a similar price range.
Any help would be great.

I would say that rc10T is a good beginner truck. This truck is a tank. If you are just going to use it for backyard bashing, this truck will just about take anything. If you are going to race this truck can still compeat, but I would suggest to go up to a T3 or a XXXT.

Wow, where would you get this RC10T? It must be used, right? I have had mine for almost 10 years now and I've been VERY satisfied with it. Newer trucks have come and gone and I've still been very competitive with it. Note: mine is HEAVILY modified, though. I've replaced almost every part with a better, lighter, stronger, whatever...one, but it's still a 10T. I say go for it. It'll get you started and you can hone your driving/tuning skills with it and maybe you'll be ready for a newer one in a year or two. BTW, I'm getting a T3 (or a T4, who knows) in a few months. Not that my RC10T ***** , I just want the newest technology.

RC10ft are what I would get there a little better than the team but this is a very top name racing truck. This will win a lot of races with the right motor and right driver. It sounds like you aren't really ready for racing though but if you are get the rc10ft you would love it. If you aren't into building yet get the traxxas nitro rustler it is rtr and is a land rocket right out of the box. It won't cost you close to as much as a good motor with the rc10ft but it will drive well and give you all the speed you want right out of the box if you want to spend about 300$. If you want to win for sure and build your truck rc10 is the best and it will cost you about 500$ when your all ready to race. Just something to think about.
