View Full Version : Brushless Kyosho Mini Inferno MP-777
Your thoughts about it from a brushless point of view, will it be a big hit, will you buy one ?
What type of power set-ups will it need, will the Mamba esc be up to the task ?
64 mm tires we know already, but will the rims have standard 11mm hex ?
Will there be a Mini MP-777R later on, like the Mini-T Pro ?
And not to forget:
Merry christmas and a happy new brushless year :) !

Just a guess, but I think the Mamba will work very well. I don't plan to get one now, but you never know. I will have to see it up close and see how much it cost$. Kyosho stuff is never cheap... but then again they make quality products. So if you go brushless with a mini777, it probably can handle it in stock trim, unlike a miniT, etc.
This little buggy would be a great lipo powered car...
BTW, I have big 777 coming this week ready for BL and Lipos. :)

I like it too, the Mamba controller should have no problem, but the mini777 weighs in at around 1.7 lbs so I'm not so confident about the tiny Mamba motors being able to push it around.
It is a sweet looking 4wd buggy and it's got a slipper clutch so we can overpower it with a 400 size brushless motor without destroying the driveline. ;)
Can't stand the fake stinger, and fake nitro motor cooling head/ESC heatsink thing.
The stock electronics look like the same type of bean counter approved dog poo that came stock with the mini-t. Friction shocks too, and lotsa phillips head screws...... uggh.
Sign me up for one anyway, add some worthy electronics, and oil shocks and it oughta rip!
Hey glassdoctor, what motor are you going to use in the 1/8th 777?

I agree the stock mamba motor might not cut it... but the esc should be good. I would think one of the milder motors on 3s or 4s lipos would be good setup.
As for my 777?.... I have no freekin idea. :) The guys at Novak said they ran their HV in a 1/8 and it worked well. (its' 4400kv though... seems like a bad choice.)
I have a Feigao 8L, a C50 maxx, and maybe a C50 12L to try. But I was wanting to try a BasicXL or Maxximum. But they are pricey and I already have a couple to try.
My first choice would be a Maxximum with fan...
