I am about to put the wood and plans away. I am thinking of just buying a hull and maybe when I get better at things I'll try again. What do you think about this hull, can i convert it to a nitro. It is 29" long and 11" wide.

because altho it is easier to buy a boat you will get alot more satisfaction by building one yourself...

also it is much cheaper than buying a hull...

Well, I think I know what I am going to do. I am just going to buy a hull for now. I will buy another sheet of plywood and work on the boat slowly but surely.

I don't know though. Is 150.00 alot for a hull. Will it handle a .21???

That looks like a Mean Machine Splash!
Anyway, the MM18 from Aeromarine comes with .18, I'm sure that a .21 would work just fine. I was planning on doing that myself once i get all my other projects finished. :D

The mean Machine hull was built for a .21. It is the baby sprint cat thats been around. They just changed the name and made it ready to run with a .18.
By the way that thing hauls with a .21 in it and the .18 should be a blast also.

Ah, ejp, donīt give up just yet! Just make some new bulkheads, made of straight and nice ply, not that warped stuff you were unfortunate enough to get hold of the last time. I promise, once you get the hull glued together nicely, you will feel all good about having made it by your self! And that is hard to get from bying a hull. By all means, buy a hull also, and play around while building on your own hull. Good compromise, donīt you think?

That was just my plan.:D

What will it take to convert this hull th nitro??? Do I just have to glass in some strigers?

Nope...., That's a VERY good thing, will last longer then a splash, and be of better quality.
