free great program for resizing and viewing pics

I have noticed many people having trouble resizing pics so i decided to post this. the program is called irfanview and can be downloaded for free here http://www.irfanview.com/ this is how you resize the pics.

open the picture and press ctrl+r

i normally pick the smalles size given but you can choose 800 by 600

After this go to save not save as and you will get an option to pick the quality of the picture...the pictures that i just posted are 800 by 600 at 70% quality.

I use this program and it does a decent job for being free.

MS Paint does that too.

i use that to, and i love it. Much easier than Paint if you ask me

GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) is almost as powerful as Photoshop and is an open-source project. Uhhh sorry - means it's free. :D

i have that program also i have used it for over 2 years now. i got it right after i got windows xp pro back in 2002.

i have gimp on my linux machine...and rocknbil i help my dad with his open-source projects...its really fun...not very hard too
