Just wanted to know what would be a reliable/fast and powerful setup for 14-18 cell with strobe sliper. What size pinon? It's for my super e-maxx it has UE 7.5 6 spyder diffs, bombproof race bomb, vbs, racerx sup, ultramaxxed gears, on it.

A feigao or hacker 10L would be a good strating point. A plett maxx or big maxx would be very good if it's in your budget. A lehner basic2800XL....
Schulze 18.97kw or BK 9918 controllers are popular choices.
I'm still running a Hacker C50 and sport controller in my maxx.... hopefully they release a the version someday.
An awesome setup for your truck imo, would be a big maxximum and 18.97... but it's one of the most expensive combos, @$600-700

I have an Emaxx on the way - figure first week or two I would run stock to get used to it. Once I am familiar with how well the stock motors handle - I will go brushless as well. I already have a Warrior 9918 ESC and ordered (not here yet) a 10L motor. The motor I am hoping comes soon.

A stock emaxx needs 14 cells to wake it up.
I got mine used and it was really a dog, but one of the motors was going bad. So one motor was having to to most of the work, and it would get smoking hot... killed it.
So I just went brushless rather than throw money out the window on more stock smokers.

Do you have a 51 tooth Mod 1 gear on your Strobe?
If yes, then try to get a 15 teeth pinion form Starluck RC, and put it on a Plette Maxximum, for use with up to 14 cells.
If you are going with 16-18 cells, then go for the Plette Big Maxximum if your budget allows it.
If you have access to tool, then buy a Powerline 53 teeth spur (it is made for an MGT, and it is Derlin), cut out the center and drill holes to adapt to the Strobe slipper. This will help your gearing just a bit (I would still only go for a 15 teeth pinion).
I run equivalant to 14 cells (4S4P LiPo) with a Feigo 8L/Hacker comp controller on the exact set up you mentioned above. I have a fan on the controller and the motor, and it would run on the hot side...

The Maxximum is a good recommendation for the E-Maxx.
Actually the stats for the Maxximum is below directly from Plettenberg Company.
Maxximum / 3150 rpm/volt / 6-10 cells / 1000 Watt / 70000 rpm
I believe you can use up to 12-14 cells but personally I wouldn't go over 12 cells.
