Hello guys, I am in need of a new charger and am thinking about getting the Duratrax Ice, the only problem I see with it is no discharge and therefor no cycleing. I will be running regular batteries (Gp3300) but am thinking the ICE would be good incase of future upgrades.

If I ever went li-po then I would run 6000-8000 mah with ~the same or simular voltage to 12 1.2V cells.

Thank You

Update: I now see it has a 10A distrage so I am guessing there is cycling. But 10A is really bad compared to 30A some other's have.

A while ago I read the user manual for the ICE. It can cycle, up to 10 times, with up to 30mins between each cycle (it is adjustable).
10a discharge isn't too bad. If you really want to do some heavy discharging, then you should get a bulb discharger.
It can charge up to 8amps for LiPo, so that would be 1C for an 8000mah pack. I find it to be a VERY good charger for what you pay. The only improvement that I can think of is more the capability to charge more than 10 cells at a time.

I love mine. I have TP 8000mah Lipo's, but haven't charged them on the Ice yet.

It will be another week or 2 before I have everything I need to run my Lipo's, but will post results as soon as I can.
