Hey, I want to get an inexpensive peaker. I have thought about the MRC SuperBrain 819 and the Duratrax Pirhana Peak Power. Which one is better?

Chargers aren't really which is better they are all about the same unless you compare a top end charger with all the gagets to a timer one. Get a duratrax it will work fine.

I'd go for that little LRP, even though its only DC it can charge nimh cells.

I'd go with the super brain. IT can charge NiMH. I charge some very exspensive 2400 on it and it works fine. I get 9 minutes out of the 2400.

Hey gang,
Check out the charger guide in the December issue...it covers the bulk of the "sport-priced" chargers available.

Ok, dumb question from an old skool RCer just getting back into the hobby. Back when I was racing, the best we had were 1700s. When you run a car for 5-6min, my motor was usually ready to take a lil rest and cool off. How do you get away with running your car for 9mins and still have the motor in one piece and not meltdown city?
BTW, I just got a Duratrax Pirahna and haven't had any problems with it so far.
