Mono's are the best for all conditions but there are more Cat's coming out that are being made just for rough water conditions.

The Blast Cat is one of those. Would love to see one in person.

unless it's a very shallow V. they can get pretty touchy.

AC Model Boats out of Canada makes them. Really don't think theres better built boats on the market. Have seen several models all the way over here & guys love 'em !

Or you can get them from Rocket City Racing.

What I've seen/heard on other forums about the Blast Cat is that it has a deeper tunnel & a type of tab that comes down a few inches long, but enough to give it good speed while still being able to play in the rough.

So, which one handles better. Will my NH or my cat handle better. Is a cat easier to flip? Do they not handle rough as better because their so wide and it makes them bounce

(If they r both about the same size) The cat will flip easier and they will probably have about the same handling..... The cat will be much faster though...

Oh! another boat that works very well in conditions and in calm is the kyosho bladerunner style hull, I had this boat and it worked almost as good as a vee in ruff but still gets some lift on the flats
I like this design
(it was my first boat)
