I see the black ground wire from the engine. I assume this would be used to connect a kill switch. Does anyone have the specs on creating one with standard radio shack parts?
Thanks

you shouldn't need anything heavy duty. a medium range on/off toggle or a momentary switch should get ya going. if you use a momentary, get one that is always "on". then you just push it and hold it to kill the spark. you won't need to worry about turning the switch back to on when you go to restart the engine.

Do I just connect the switch between the 2 red wires. When ON it completes the circuit and OFF disconnects the circuit.

No, connect a switch on the black wire, and then another wire from the switch to metal on the engine. That way, you will short out the ignition when the switch is thrown. If connecting the red wire to a switch, I think the wires and switch will burn up really quick.

You need a momentary "on", normally off. Closing the circuit will ground the coil and kill the motor. Black from coil to one side of the switch, other side of the switch grounded to the motor.

here is a simple solution.
1) Take a Reciever Batt. Switch, cut the leads off (both leads), seperate the wires, and strip the red one.
2) Connect the ground wire from the engine (black one) to the red wire.
3) Connect the red wire on the switch to the engine head some how..
4) Done!
You'll be able to switch it on and off.

Why in the world do ya think ya needs a KILL switch? On my G260, I have the failsafe set to close the throttle (kill the engine) ifin the radio signal is lost. When I'm bringin the boat back to shore, I get it close and push foreward on the trigger (close the throttle) an coast in. It IS by the way, the black lead offin yer coil that is the ground wire. I'm using that lead to plug my Sendec tach into. That way I do'nt have 12' of coiled up tach lead wire clutterin things up. Brian :)

Thanks for the help. I picked up the parts today and made one. It works great. I also do have a Fail Safe on the way and will give that a try as well.
