Picture File Size

At one time there was a limit on the size of picture files that could be attached to posts. I don't remeber what the size was and have not been able to find the info. Can someone tell me if the limit still exists, and if so what it is?

Hello Don,
61 kb seems to still be the limit. I play it safe and keep the file to around 59kb to avoid doing it over again.

This is maybe outside the thread, and I don't want to hijack it, but can someone please tell me how to attach an image to a thread? I can not seem to make it work!

if you have a photobucket account or something similar copy and paste the [img] that is underneith your picture. if u dont have a photobucket, get one. its easy to use and for stuff like this, it works great. o ya and its free. ive had one for about a year now without any problems. www.photobucket.com

I use PhotoShop, and change the quality to about 6 and then change the image size to 480x360 pixels. Comes out about 45kb in file size.
