what is the best way to remove stripped head screws? and can you do it with out recking the threds in the head?
Well, I've never tryed this before because I just thought about it. You could drill the head off of it like a rivit and then take the head off and grab it with a pair of plyers and twist it out. If that isn't clear enough just let me know.

If there are enough threads sticking up after the clyinder head is off use two nuts, not pliers to back the screw off. Thread one nut on then a second. Use a wrench on the bottom nut and it will lock up on the screw against the second nut and thread out.
Do this before you gall the threads up with pliers.
