I am trying to find a gas powered T-28 Trojan. I understand Pica markets one but I can't find it on the net. Any suggestions? It could be any scale.

There is a smaller version by Bridi (then purchased by Great Planes) on Ebay right now.

1.)Dave Platt has a super scale 1/6 scale T-28 at 82" span. There are numerous posts in forums by owners (RCU, RCSCALE, etc.)
2.)Vance Mosher at Vangard has a semi-scale at 80". As of yet it has not flown, so really can't recommend it. There is a prototype build on RCSCALEBuilder by Mosher, but not any regular Joe's reports that I've seen.
3.)IMP Scale has an 83" version that is the cheapest. I have not seen one.
4.)Pica was bought out by COX Hobbies and should have both 65" span and 78" span back on the market by early 2006.
5.) Byron/Iron Bay at 96" span.
6.)RCM has plans for a 1/7 scale (I've heard).

I believe the plans (#6 on your list) is Dave Platt's original 1/7th scale that was later kitted by Pica after he sold it to Pica.

You are correct. I should have checked before I pulled the trigger on #6! The 1966 RCM T-28 plan was by Dave Platt, which was later sold to Pica. I understand that Pica enlarged these to produce their "1\5" sized.
Dave went on to a completely new model of the T-28 which is the current one he sells plans and accessories to.
Anyone heard anything about Vance Mosher's T-28 yet, other than what Vance has been saying about it?

Pica's 1/5th is really closer to 1/6th by the way....
