Anybody have information on this? I am going to visit Bob at Apex R/C Hobbies for information. From what I have heard:
-It is just down US-64
-It is a club with dues and members keep the track up when they go- like a flying club
-Lapcounting may be going on? Don't know about "racing" persay.
I do know that Bob sells a bunch of nitro stuff, especially monster trucks, so I expect those to be out there. It would be cool just to have a big bashing club, and I beleive that this is what he has going on.
More info to come.

I would be interested in joining something like that .... can you post some contact info or should I just go to he shop to inquire. I wouldnt mind even trying to set up some sort of triangle off road club for maybe the falls lake area? Let me know and we can toss some ideas around.

Tim, please do find more about this! I just hope it's not all Nitro, 'cause I'm a little short in that category. Would love to bash around with the T3 and the mod Stampede somewhere though. BTW, when you gonna be at TRF?

Pete...Hey Dude! No....no takers so far! Read about your electronic issues...hope you get 'em sorted out soon! Guess what...here's a real big surprise...the Mission was glitchin' like crazy at TRF on Sunday. I was totally frustrated, 'cause the thing was way FAST just erratic. Know I can compete (Missions took 1st and 2nd at the 'Wood last Sat.) if'n I can straighten it out. Seems the latest issue was the friggin' transponder! Mark P. and I were comiserating, 'cause he burned up his Mini-T motor while I glitched out. Good guy that he is, he's offered to sit down with me and try to set the Mission straight once and for all. I know I'm not the best driver, but I also know I can be a hell of a lot better with stable rides! P.S. Justin blew out the diff in the XXX-S while he was in 3rd place. Not too shabby for his 1st run at TRF! The kid has talent...just need to help him keep his stuff together too.
On another vein....NPRESME has a cherry 12L3 for a buck and a quarter for sale..think I'm gonna dive into that one!

Do you know yet where this track or club is going to be and if its just going to be off-road? Thinking about getting a nitro truck and this just may push me into getting one sometime soon.

Well yeah there are plenty of places to run a truck. Maybe in a few months i'll have to pick me one up. Now I just wish there was a good on-road track for nitro's in the raleigh/cary area.

There's Rosewood. It isn't that far away from Raleigh, I live in Clayton and it only takes me 30 minutes....

I finally got the tmaxx up to par, and the MGT needs to be broken in.
My roommate has one on the way.
Is it a track or a bunch of jumps....

cheer,
bob wrote me back saying that they are looking for a place to put a track. I think he might have not understood my email.
I am still waiting to hear back from him again.
We had an awesome bash session yesterday in N. Raleigh. It was great because my fantom pipe on my tmaxx made a world of difference, and that this is running great. Then i broke a motor mount... hahaha

an friend of mine lives in a housing development off of mitchell mill rd.
They are building about 100 new houses, so there is pavement, dirt, hills like crazy, trash (like pallates and wood, and stuff to jump.. dirt piles) it is pretty sweet.
I think we might go out there again this weekend if you are interested.

I went to Apex Hobbies yesterday, and apparently the club has been shut down.. either that or he doesn't like me.

OK I'll talk to Bob straight up and find out whats happening, I know him well and he'll tell me exactly whats going on BUT to be honest there may be some people he won't want out there. There are DUES to pay and I am guessing WE have to keep the track up. Those of you that have met me know I have no problems with this- I go help clean Durham when I can.
