What size width and W/B is this?
Do you know if aluminum hop-ups will be available for this?

You mean it's a 1/10 scale with a 200m width?

If they made it 200 metres (600 feet) wide, I would be very surprised

Is it any good? Compared to a nTC3?

This thing is a beast. I have driven NTC3 a few times and it's not that good. The TG10-Mk.2 is way better that the NTC3 in many ways. This car has the engine mounted in the right side so the exhaust system is better. Since this car just came out last fall, the technology is better than the outdated NTC3. The shocks on this car is the best in industry, There's many great features about this car. In my area, TG10-Mk.2 dominates all the races. NTC3 doesn't even get close to TG10-Mk.2. Also, this car is very neutral and easy to setup.

How can mounting a exhaust on a certain side make it better? That makes no sense.

That sounds good, I can get the TG-10 mk II for about 200 USD new w/o body...

The engine on the nTC3 is sitting with the clutch pointing backwards, thus requiring a pretty ankward looking header/pipe combo...

Because left side engine mount that is shaft driven usually have a limited kinds of tuned pipe and those pipes usually have less power output than the long pipes.

DCLXVI, this car is very durable. I have had this car for almost two months and nothing broke yet. (I am not the best driver.)

This is my TG10 Mk2,still to be finished,I have fitted the radio gear now and just need to do the body.
Mine is the lower spec version, cheap engine and exhaust fitted, single speed transmission and plastic shocks.
I have fitted some hop ups already, mostly metal parts to replace the included plastic parts and a rear anti roll bar.
Might go a bit mad with this one and fit a lot more hop-ups over time.

I just went to a local TCS and my TG10-Mk.2 with the O.S. 12TZ came in 3rd in B-Main. It was my first time racing nitro and I only have the car for a while and I think that the car is so good that it helped me to take the top 3 of a main.

Congrats on the placing. What was everyone else using? How did your car stack up to theirs? Is your racing skills up there too?

Half of the people ran the old TG10R and the other hald ran the TG10-Mk.2. I could keep up with the other guys because I setup my car the day before and I had some practice the day before the race. Also, my driving skills have improved a lot from previous race and a few guys who have seen me before said that I had improved a lot. I was taking the corner very tight (I have never done that before). At the first qualifier, it was raining and the surface was wet. My car is already understeering a bit before and with the wet surface, I was drifting. I was also racing with 2 Tamiya sponsered racer.

Sorry To drag up an old thread but i have a question
I have a MK2 at home and after focusing on the electric scene for the last few months i have been thinking of taking the TG10 to the track to see how it performs
so my question is
Is the TG10 competitive compared to the top makes in the gas racing scene??
and if it isnt what hopups should i add to it to make it competitive

Does anyone know that if the MK2 is really being discontinued??? I recently noticed that Tamiya USA website has tagged ALL MK2 models as discontinued.
***? The car is only about a year and half old!!! The only reason I picked the MK2 over FW-05RR was because Tamiya has historically supported its chassis for a long time, unlike mugen or kyosho which comes up with completely new models every year and make the current models obsolete.
Thanks a lot tamiya! Now I'm stuck with a competent but obsolete chassis that is barely a year old.

I too noticed that they have listed the car as discontinued. You may want to contact Tamiya America to ask. If it is in fact discontinued, my guess and this is only a guess is that they are going to develop a belt drive Gas Car. The pros in this class run either MTX4, V-One RRR, or Serpent 720.

Ok, here's what I found out after e-mailing Tamiya Japan and Tamiya USA.
First, the reply from Tamiya headquarters:
Dear ------,
Thank you very much for contacting us again.
After exchanging e-mails with our staff at Tamiya America, here is what we
found out regarding the TG-10 Mk.2 Chassis Kit's availability. As you may
be aware, Tamiya America is currently in the process of moving both their
offices and warehouse. During this transition period, some items will be
shown on the computer system as being "in transit" or being prepared for
the move. The TG-10 Mk.2 Chassis Kit is one of these items, so while stock
of this item exists, they are currently not available for ordering/shipping
for the reason stated above. Rest assured that Tamiya America does indeed
have the parts on hand to continue to support this chassis.
Best regards,
International Division
Tamiya, Inc.
And the reply from Tamiya US division:
Dear Tamiya Customer,
Our headquarters is correct, we are going through a warehouse move.
Unfortunately kit #44047 is discontinued, however these 4 kits will soon be
available again, but I don't have a confirmed date.
