Nice car!
What kind of rear swaybar is that? My brother got a MRX4 (from a MRX3) and he hasn't run it, yet.
What does raising the front upper arm mounts by 3mm do for the handling?

this is an adjustable swaybar (the same of mrx3), the car is too fast! i've upper arm mounts by 3mm. because S.Solaroli (official mugen pilot)has tell me that the car have more steering and insertion in curve! :D

no, the 950R is better than 950....the serpent is a very nice car but it's much delicate one...the mugen is much sturdy :D

I'm thinking of doing 8th onroad and going with the Mugen. The PRP is a nice 8th, but parts are hard to come by therefore it's not worth buying. A friend who plans to help me out said an OS .21 is a good one to start out with. Should I do that or spend the $$ on a Novamega engine for bout the same price? I tried driving his for a little bit and gonna do more till I can get my own.

To Saboteur and Choco.
I have a Mega zx-21 race in my PRP XR8 car and it screams! The guys at Serpent emailed me the other day and said they are replacing all crankshafts free of charge. The problem was the big end insert material was not hard enough so Picco is machining that part in to the new crank until they can figure out what to do. ( only 9 out of over 1,000 cranks have broke .... they say this is only to overt any mega drivers from losing points and positions in any races.)

Sounds good. How are the Mega ZX .12 engines? I see some for $230 or so with the pipe. Any good?

I have heard they are great  ...Micheal Salvin from team Serpent used one at the winter nationals two weeks ago and finished pretty good, ( I cant remember exactly what position but it was up there.)

Man I'dlove to do 8th onroad, but eh, I guess its just too expensive for me. I'm stayin with my R40 and mugen engine. A nice lola body will do the trick. :) When I save up a bit more, I'll check the MRX 3 or 4.

It depends where ya hit the car. For starters try not to hit things and go slow at first, then speed up when you get the hang of things.
A 1/8 on-road doesn't handle like a smaller car. I was driving my brother's MRX3 at one point and I was trying to throw it into a power slide to show off to a friend who had never seen a 1/8 on-road run. Instead of a broad powerslide like I thought the car would do it tightened its line and took off like a rocket. I was trying to throw the car sideways by punching it halfway through a turn that I was already going what I considered too fast through and the car hunkered down and got traction from thin air! The engine was not some weak engine but a C4 Circuit. That was the quickest and fastest RC car I had seen up to that point (I'll admit that I was scared to drive that car because I know my capabilities and the car's was higher than mines). My brother has since gotten a MRX4 and given me the MRX3. He later sold the MRX4 without ever running it and got a Delta (it's a variation on the Kyosho Evolva). Again, that car has not been driven since he got it but that will change in about a month.

Yes, check your gear mesh. I've been running mine throughout break in plus an xtra tank or two and never had a problem.

Anyone gearing up for the spring? My ride is ready to go.:) Still waiting for the LHS to get my setup board in and some new parts are on order. There's a new bulkhead that allows different belt tension settings to prevent stripping of the front belt. It's on Mugen's site.
