hello all,
i have recently moved to the traid area, winston salem, raced 1/10 on road electrics back home, looking to get back into the hobby, and suggestions, shops, tracks, groups, anything that could interest me to get back into it would be greatly appreciated, would prefer course or oval racing, but would even try off road truck racing if it is popular down here, or there is somewhere I could race weekly, thank you so much in advance!

DJ Edge, welcome to the Triad! Your in a bit of luck. There is a newly established Micro (18th scale) track in Kernersville which also races on
Sundays (weather permitting) out back on asphault. The hobby shop is
K-Ville Hobby. All of the data is on www.one18th.com under forums.
There is micro racing in Kannapolis a a couple of tracks and a new oval being built in Charlotte. Also some indoor carpet in Boone (hopefully). you can race
dirt in King (get out your map). Best thing to do is to meet us at the track in Kernersville on Saturday. We are currently running 18th indoors and 12th and 1oth outdoors. Come see us and we'll fill you in.
Unfortunately no major tracks in the Triad and we work with what we have. Mike and gang at K-Ville hoby are doing their best to build raod racing up just taking a while. Good to have another racer in the fold.
Come see us

DJ- If you don't mind driving there is a good on-road carpet and asphalt track in Goldboro NC. I think it would be about 2 to 21/2 hours for ya. There is a forum here under ROSEWOOD look there.
