It is never to early to start planning for the 2005 racing season. Plans for our annual Grand Prix are well under way. It is a nitro on-road event for both 1/8 and 1/10 scale cars. Route 106 Race Park is one of the fastest tracks in the northeast. Stop by our event page and take a look.

You're the guys who sent the winners of the January monster jam gift certificates to your place :)

Wish I had an on-road car to compete there, i'm an all off-road guy. Maybe i'll have one by then.

BTW, your track looks awesome, i'll have to check it out sometime.

My name is Brandon Ouellette. I am the NEAR club president. We are the club that organizes racing on the tracks at Route 106 Race Park. Dave Daniels in the race park hobby shop sent the gift certs. for the monster jam. We are pretty much one in the same. I just figured the right person should get the credit. Dave and the members of our club work together to make the race park experience a good one.

Come up and check us out sometime. Well, once the snow melts. The 1/8 scale nitro on-road cars on the big track is something to see. After that everything else looks slow.

1/10 open class rules.

There has been a few questions concerning the 1/10 open class rules. The rules for this class will be based off the ROAR rules. They can be found on page 63 of the 2005 rulebook. I plan to allow ANY body. Any small block engine up to .15. And for the 235mm cars 2 wheel drive cars will also be allowed. We will try to keep the rest of the specs as close as possible to the ROAR rules.

I offered this class with the hopes that the 235mm guys would have a chance to race. Also some guys with 200mm RTR cars would fit in here. This class should be fun and should make for some good racing.

Any car entered in the 1/10 .12 touring class will not be allowed to race in the open class.

1/5 scale class?

If enough 1/5 scale guys show up I will add a 1/5 scale class. In past years the interest has not been there. If we get 5 or more to show up you will run. Please email me if you think you would like to run.
