XXX Main makes chassis protectors. They are adhesive, clear covers that stick onto the bottom of your chassis to prevent scrapes. They have them for several different cars... check out www.xxxmain.com . If pretty positive they have one for the RS4.

use clear contact paper. the stuff used to cover books, shelves and such. you may want to use 2 layers but it's cheap.

theres vinyl self-adhesive "tape" for normal cars just to do that, protect them from rocks etc, im sure youll be able to find it in bigger automotive shops

The AE stuff that Fantom posted is about 1/16" thick and is the best to use. Bit of a problem around the screws though (hmm, do I cut holes or don't I? :D ) Also it doesn't work out real well on nitros, the fuel and heat around the engine area tend to lift it up.

Try getting a piece of lexan and use the screws to hold it on. That way you can get the screws in and out, and it will be sure to stick.

I like the lexan idea. If you want something tough, try the clear plastic they sell for dirtbikes. Kinda pricey, around $15 for 3 18x30 sheets.

another idea, i know a few gys who use that stuff you put on skateboards its really hard wearing and it has a sticky back that is really strong, you will be hard pushed to wear it out, and when you want to remove it, heat it up with a hairdryer and peel it off

I think you mean griptape, but that would work.

Another idea- go to a sports store and buy hockey tape. thats pretty cheap and it should work well

Just so to a staples or office depot and pick up a roll of self adhesive laminating sheet. I just got a roll of this stuff for $8.30 and it works great.
