I'm looking for feedback on the Pro-Line steering kit for the T-Maxx and E-Maxx. I was thinking about getting the Kimbrough #124 servo saver, but a guys that works on these trucks a lot recommended the Pro-Line steering kit for them (I have both the T-Maxx and E-Maxx). He said the kit is like 1/8-scale buggy steering setups (whatever that means).
Does anyone have feedback on the differences in using either the Pro-Line kit or just using the Kimbrough servo saver?
Thanks,
Ras

I also have the Pro-line kit and the Kimbrough servo saver. I ran the Kimbrough set up all summer long and didn't have any problems other than it felt a little bit soft when the going got rough. I haven't run my Tmaxx with the Pro-line servo saver yet, but I have the same style servo saver in my GS SUT and it's really nice. It allows you to adjust the tension of the servo saver the same way you would on the threaded shock body, making it real easy to adjust, and making your steering a lot more responsive. I would definitely recommend the Pro-line kit.

I'll second the Proline kit. I had one on both of my E-Maxxes....the show truck and race truck. I still have the one from the show truck if anyone is interested. Sold the Maxxes long ago. New condition. $30 shipped.

Make that a 3rd. I ran it in my E-Maxx w/ a 5645 and that truck was flickable. It's lightyears ahead of the Kimbrough setup in terms of precision, and you don't have to replace it, ever...Kimbrough's have a tendacy to wear out when being beat on by a heavy monster truck.

They are like 1/8 scale buggy steering setups because it has the integrated servo saver instead of one mounted on the servo itself (like the stock one). It is one of the best upgrades you can get for your truck. I like it because of it's adjustability, you can change the tension of the servo saver spring (using the knurled nut like on threaded shock bodies) according to your preferences. Anything that adds adjustability is good in my book (other then the new RPM rear suspension setup which locks toe-in because it's so hard to get right, is anyone using that I am thinking about getting it) and I highly recommend it.
