CEN Genesis

i am thinking of getting the genesis what do you guys think about it?????

I parted out a 3rd gen CEN Genesis out on ebay. I was pretty impressed with it. If I was looking for a MT to bash the Genesis would be top's on my list. The only downside is those 19mm hubs make it hard to use other wheels/tires.

What upgrades/updates did CEN do to make the 3rd gen trucks?

I've got a 3rd Gen Genesis. I like it alot as a basher. Because of its size its able to roll over things that other MTs would have trouble with. It handles great and the engine is real strong. I like it a lot.

On the downside, even with the modded diffs they still click on occassion when you are on the gas and landing. The stock shocks are pretty stiff. I changed my oil to 5 wt. It works great now.

Also, there aren't a whole lotta parts for it (Aftermarket). You are pretty limited with wheels as well because of the large size hubs.

I would recommend it as a second truck.....

You might check and make sure your arms move up an down freely on your Genesis. On the one I parted out, the upper arms were very tight against the bulkheads. It made the suspension seem tight and stick. Some sanding would have freed it up a lot.

New Era Models and Hardcore Racing both has full line of aluminum / titanium parts available for Genesis. Most proline bodies will fit as well.

We offer Roto-tech starter and 4 wheel steering at this time. A wheel hex adopted for proline wheels will be avaialbe shortly.

ofna 17mm hubs fit so you can use ofna titan and dominator rims on the genesis and www.rc-solutions.com is coming out with a roll cage for the genesis.

i like the genesis for it's size,power,and durability and cen's customer service has gotten replacement parts to me fast under warranty.
