Hey, ive had my associated mgt for a while now, and havent went fast enough to shift to second gear. I mostly crawl over rocks and stuff. But lately ive driven it on my street and havent heard it shift yet. I did everything i can with the adjusting screw. Ive tightened it all the way, and even screwed it out untill the edje of the hole. And i saw so difference. What seens to be the problem with my tranny? Have any of you guys experienced this ? If so, how do u resolve it.
Thanks

Mine shifted kind of high at the factory setting. My engine had to run pretty lean in order to get the RPMs needed to shift it. Check your manual on page 7. There's a good illustration of the two speed gear set as well as the rotation directions you use to adjust the shift point. Basically:
> counter-clockwise (left, loosen) = shift earlier
> clockwise (right, tight) = shift later
Don't make the adjustment too much or you may just end up with your truck in second gear all the time.
Also, make sure you're not "adjusting" the silver screw. That's the set screw. But if you had adjusted that, you wouldn't be going anywhere.
